Job summary

The One Group is seeking an experienced Expeditor for our Santa Monica location to bridge the kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring precise timing, plating, and order accuracy during high-volume service.

As a key link between FOH and BOH, you will coordinate tickets, monitor plate presentation, and support chefs to uphold Our high-quality standards while maintaining a fast, efficient dining flow. This role requires standing for long periods and availability nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Expeditor, Food Runner, or similar role in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate between FOH and BOH teams.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the communication bridge between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Review food tickets and coordinate the timing of dishes for accurate and efficient delivery.
• Inspect all plates for proper presentation, portioning, and quality before they leave the kitchen.
• Communicate with servers and food runners to ensure prompt and accurate order delivery.
• Maintain an organized expediting station, ensuring food items are properly arranged for efficient handoff.
• Work closely with chefs and cooks to ensure every dish meets our high-quality standards.
• Keep the expediting window clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
• Assist in managing special requests, modifications, and dietary restrictions with accuracy.
• Maintain a sense of urgency and ensure orders are delivered in a timely manner.
• Support the kitchen team during peak service times to maintain a smooth workflow.

What You’ll Do
