Job summary

White Lodging is seeking an expediter for the JW Marriott Austin to help ensure smooth order flow between servers and the culinary team. You will monitor progression, communicate special requests, and verify that dishes are prepared, plated, and served at the right temperature.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in a fast-paced restaurant, can multitask under pressure, and are comfortable standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Ability to stand and move quickly for long periods.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the flow of orders from servers to the culinary team.
• Communicate with the kitchen to ensure timely preparation and assembly.
• Check dishes for accuracy, presentation, and temperature.
• Convey essential information between kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

What You\'ll Do

• The expeditor will help manage the efficient flow of orders from the servers to the culinary team


• Ensure orders are being prepared and quickly assembled by communicating to the culinary team across the line


• Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature


• Communicate any essential information between the kitchen and the front of house staff such as special requests or dietary needs


• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You\'ll Bring

• Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments but remain calm under pressure
