Aspen Dental in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. You will support doctors, perform chairside assisting, and help maintain efficient patient flow in a busy practice.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Dental Assistant license/registration as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification required by state.
• CPR or BLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Assist with directing the DA office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization of equipment and operatory; ensure staff training and compliance.
• Follow maintenance schedules for flushing waterlines, suction lines, autoclave, compressor.
• Tray and operatory set-up for all procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
• Follow OSHA and Aspen safety, HIPAA guidelines.
• Take dental radiographs.
• Educate patients on post-treatment oral care.
• Complete denture relines and temporary crowns.
• Monitor management of laboratory cases.
• Perform intraoral health scans in under 5 minutes.
• Understand clear aligner process and be able to teach.
• Take quality impressions and bite registrations.
• Order and maintain supplies according to practice budget.
