Job summary

The Smilist Dental is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our Reading, PA practice. You will support the dentists, prepare trays, maintain sterile operatory, and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.

We require an EFDA license and at least 1 year of dental assisting experience. Dentrix experience is a plus, and we offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• EFDA license is required.
• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• Familiarity with dental instruments and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during procedures with EFDA scope.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have EFDA license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays
• Salary Range:$25.00-$28.00/hour
• Location:Reading, PA
