This role emphasizes culturally respectful care and adherence to safety standards, with duties including radiographic procedures, record-keeping, and assisting the dentist to deliver high‑quality dental services.

Qualifications

• GS-05 requires 1 year of experience in chairside assisting, simple restorations, radiographs, and infection control or equivalent education.
• Radiographer certification and completion of an ADA‑recognized program or equivalent training is required for qualification at GS‑05/06.

Responsibilities

• Restores teeth after preparation has been accomplished.
• Provides chairside assisting and anticipates dentist's needs for instruments, materials, and services.
• Performs intra‑oral procedures such as prophylaxis, sealants, temporary restorations, and cements crowns.
• Performs radiographic procedures and dental laboratory tasks (models, trays, casts, impressions).
• Receives and prepares patients, maintains treatment and appointment records.
