Job summary

Qualifications

• GS-05 requires at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-04 performing chairside aiding, restorations, prophylaxis, radiographs, and infection control.
• GS-05+06 requires completed dental assistant/dental hygiene program with exposure to radiation physics.
• Resume must clearly identify duties, responsibilities, and total hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Restores teeth after preparation.
• Performs chairside assisting and anticipates dentist's needs for instruments and materials.
• Performs intra-oral procedures including prophylaxis, sealants, and cementing crowns.
• Performs radiological procedures and dental laboratory tasks such as pouring models and mounting casts.
• Receives and prepares patients for treatments and maintains records.
