Aspen Dental, Private Practice of Cherry Creek, in the Denver area is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA). Join our team to deliver modern, conservative care while helping patients feel at home and build lasting relationships.

This approximately 25 hours/week, full-time position includes operatory prep, four-handed dentistry, x-rays, lab work, and patient education. Colorado EDDA pathway is highlighted; dental software like Open Dental or Dentrix is a plus.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Radiology certification is required.
• Colorado EDDA certification path highlighted for the role.
• Proficiency with dental software such as Open Dental or Dentrix.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for treatment and sterilize instruments.
• Directly assist dentist during procedures using four handed dentistry.
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos, document patient info.
• Develop and implement treatment plans per doctor's diagnosis.
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
• Perform lab duties: impressions, models, temporary crowns.
• Stock supplies, maintain equipment, and manage PHI records.
• Place sealants, fluoride, coronal polishing and final impressions.
• Monitor nitrous oxide and assist with feel of comfort.

Cherry Creek, Full-Time, $26-28/hour

We are looking for an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our team at Aspen Dental, Private Practice of Cherry Creek! We’re committed to providing modern, conservative care to all our patients, while making them feel like they’re right at home. Our team makes our patients feel confident in their smiles while creating lasting, meaningful relationships along the way.

Schedule (Around 25 hours/week)

• Tuesday 7am-4pm
• Wednesday 7am-2pm
• Thursday 7am-4pm
• 1 Friday/month 7am-2pm

Compensation: $26-$28/hour

Job responsibilities/duties

• Preparing operatories for treatment
• Sterilizing instruments
• Directly assist dentist during procedures using four handed dentistry technique
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos
• Accurately and efficiently treatment plan based on doctor's diagnosis
• Providing patient education and post-operative instruction
• Perform lab duties such as pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment
• Accurately document and maintain Patient Health Information
• Place temporary and permanent restorations in teeth and shape to proper contour
• Removes sutures and places rubber dams as directed by dentist
• Place Sealants
• Fluoride Application
• Coronal Polishing
• Take final impressions
• Monitor nitrous oxide

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• DANB Certification required for Washington State
• EFDA License required for Washington State
• EDDA Certification required (minimum of one year experience without certification required for Colorado)
• Radiology Certification required
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Proficiency in dental patient management software such as Open Dental or Dentrix
• Knowledge of prosthodontics for restorations
• Experience working with Clear Aligners such as Invisalign is a plus
