Job summary

Aspen Dental, Private Practice of Cherry Creek is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join the practice in Denver, CO. The role is around 25 hours per week with a pay range of $26 to $28 per hour.

You will assist the dentist with four-handed dentistry, take radiographs, prepare operatories, and help with lab duties. The EDDA will support patient education, maintain records, and ensure efficient operatory flow.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• DANB Certification required for Washington State.
• EFDA License required for Washington State.
• EDDA Certification required (Colorado allows 1 year experience without certification).
• Radiology Certification required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
• Proficiency with Open Dental or Dentrix software.
• Knowledge of prosthodontics for restorations.
• Experience with Clear Aligners such as Invisalign is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for treatment.
• Sterilize instruments.
• Assist dentist with four-handed dentistry.
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos.
• Assist in treatment planning based on diagnosis.
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
• Perform lab duties: pours, impressions, temporary crowns.
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment.
• Document and maintain Patient Health Information.
• Place temporary and permanent restorations and shape contours.
• Remove sutures and place rubber dams.
• Place sealants and perform fluoride applications.
• Take final impressions and monitor nitrous oxide.
