Job summary

Fern is seeking an Exhibitor Services Representative to ensure top-notch service for exhibitors at events. This full-time on-site role in Portland requires travel up to 50% of the year and overtime on busy schedules.

You will respond to inquiries via phone, email, and chat, assist at the service desk, and coordinate with project managers and other teams to deliver materials and labor as promised, with a focus on upselling Fern services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn internal systems and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally to provide onsite exhibitor services at tradeshows at least 50% of the year.
• Assist exhibitors with orders and questions at the service desk.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Freight, Labor, and Account Executive to deliver services.
• Process exhibitor orders, reports, labor orders, display and graphic rental orders, and bills of lading.
• Resolve issues independently and escalate as needed.
• Identify opportunities to upsell Fern products and services.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for an Event Services Rep who will be responsible for ensuring top-notch customer service to our exhibitors throughout their entire event. The right candidate will be able to travel to various events and must be available to work overtime when needed, as well as weekends (based on event schedule).

You will report directly to the Director of Exhibitor Services & Sales and be based out of our Portland office. Position does require being on-site full time plus the ability to travel.

Pay rate is $23/hr.

What you’ll do:

• Dedicated to Responding to inquiries and requests via phone, email, web chat, and occasionally onsite at the event.
• Travel locally to provide onsite exhibitor services at tradeshows at least 50% of the year.
• Assist exhibitors with orders and questions at the Service Desk at the show site.
• Working in conjunction with the Project Manager, Freight Representative, Labor Representative, and Account Executive to resolve any issues and ensure all materials and labor are delivered as promised to the exhibitor.
• Processing Exhibitor orders, receiving reports, labor orders, display, and graphic rental orders, and bills of lading.
• Working through customer-related issues without direct supervision and escalating issues as necessary.
• Identifying opportunities to sell Fern products and services to exhibiting organizations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

• 2 or more years of customer service experience.
• Strong computer knowledge, with proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 products, emphasizing Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn internal systems (exhibitor portal, graphics system, order system, etc.)
• Experience working independently and participating as a team player to achieve departmental and company goals.
• In a fast-paced environment balance multiple- tasks and meet deadlines.
• The successful candidate is confident, assertive, flexible, and required to work well under pressure in a time-critical environment.
• Must be detail-oriented, possessing exceptional organizational skills.
