Job summary

Stark Museum of Art and The W.H. Stark House seek a part-time Graphic Design and Exhibitions Assistant to support design, installation, and maintenance of exhibitions. Reports to Exhibitions Manager. Position involves collaboration with Collections & Exhibitions and other staff.

The role requires proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, knowledge of gallery practices, and ability to work with display elements. Some evenings and installation weeks are anticipated.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Experience with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp preferred.
Knowledge of museum databases (e.g., The Museum System) preferred.
Strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Design graphics for exhibitions, projects and programs; reviewed and finalized by Exhibitions Manager.
Translate content into clear, visually engaging materials while maintaining branding.
Prepare design files for printing, fabrication and installation with correct dimensions.
Install exhibitions and maintain galleries and furniture.
Create 360-degree virtual tours using Matterport.
Support initiatives of the Collections & Exhibitions department.
