Job summary

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, VA seeks a Project Manager for Exhibitions and Collections. You will independently manage assigned exhibitions, collection installations, and rotations from planning through installation and deinstallation, coordinating budgets, contracts, and external partners.

The role requires proactive, detail-oriented leadership across Curatorial, Registration, Conservation, Design, and other departments, with frequent collaboration with lenders and vendors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated project management or coordination across multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Strong ability to identify risks, manage schedules, and drive projects to completion.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills for diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned exhibitions, collection installations, and rotations.
• Coordinate loans, traveling exhibitions, and related projects across departments.
• Develop schedules and budgets, track progress, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Facilitate meetings, document decisions, and assign action items.
