Job summary

U.S. Space & Rocket Center is seeking an Exhibit Technician to inspect, repair, and update simulators and interactive exhibits in a safe, efficient manner.

The role requires 12–24 months of relevant experience and a technical background with electronics and electro-mechanical systems. You will work with tools like 3D printing and CNC equipment to support installations and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED plus a 2-year technical degree or work experience equivalent.
• 12–24 months experience as Tech 1 in designing, maintaining, and repairing electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
• Ability to use tools, equipment, and materials of the profession safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Systematically inspect and repair USSRC simulators to maintain safe and efficient operation.
• Develop, modify, and update technological interactives and mechanical systems.
• Meet or exceed expectations for installation, maintenance, and repair of simulators and exhibits.
• Complete exhibit technical service requests accurately and timely.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain professional work areas.
