Job summary

The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation in Medora, ND seeks a Technology & Event AV Technician. The dual-focus role supports exhibit IT and live event AV, performing troubleshooting, setup, operation, and teardown for internal staff events, public programs, and rentals.

You will monitor exhibit systems, open/close galleries, document issues, coordinate with vendors, and provide on-site AV support — with evening and weekend availability; starting hourly pay ranges from $28 to

Qualifications

1+ years hands-on experience in AV production or related technical field.
Knowledge of AV signal flow and troubleshooting.
Experience with audio mixing and live sound reinforcement.
Comfortable with physical installation and hands-on work in public spaces.
Reliable and service-oriented with clear communication.
Ability to follow technical documentation and diagrams.

Responsibilities

Assist technology team with daily monitoring and troubleshooting of exhibit technology issues.
Open and close exhibit galleries; perform start-of-day and end-of-day procedures.
Document symptoms, conditions, and steps taken for issues.
Log updates in ticketing and documentation systems.
Perform cable swaps, component replacements, mounting, and hardware installation.
Diagnose AV signal chain issues and trace signal paths.
Refer to system diagrams and rack layouts to isolate faults.
Coordinate with vendors and track cases to resolution.
Support preventive maintenance and provide general IT tasks as directed.
Set up, operate, and strike AV for events; assist with streaming/recording tasks.
