Job summary

Split Rock Studios is seeking a Builder to create 100% custom exhibit components based on CAD drawings and designer/client vision. You will build, finish, and install components, ensuring high quality, functionality, and durability while following strict timelines.

The role requires independent work on complex projects, strong communication with project teams, and the ability to travel to job sites for installations and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand building blueprints and detailed construction drawings.
• Coordinate with Purchaser to ensure parts and materials are acquired efficiently before start.
• Redline prints with edits and return to CAD detailer for revision.
• Advise designers on build strategy, durability, and functionality.
• Prototype components to ensure they work in exhibit environments.
• Set up and test simple electronic components prior to on-site installation.
• Measure, cut and assemble cabinetry, furniture, and mechanical interactives from CAD drawings.
• Process and assemble CNC parts as needed.
• Continuously evaluate components for ease of installation and communicate issues to Shop Foreman/PM.
