Job summary

Wild Blue Technologies seeks a Build and Install Specialist to transform unique design concepts into custom displays for high-end exhibits, retail spaces, trade shows, museums, and prototypes. You will build, finish, and install components, cut and shape materials, mount graphics, and apply finishes.

Expect travel for installations and collaboration across the production team to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience in carpentry or exhibit fabrication.
3-5 years of experience in carpentry and custom exhibits or cabinets.
Willing to work nights/weekends to meet deadlines.
Willing to travel long distances for installs, including overnight travel.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record; forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Build and install high-end exhibits, displays and environmental components.
Cut, trim, file, bend materials using hand-held razors, straight edges and power tools.
Sand, finish, and clean material prior to painting.
Mount images/graphics to substrates.
Apply paint with brushes and spray equipment.
Perform light maintenance in WB buildings and keep area safe.
Regularly clean and maintain equipment/tools and work area.
Collaborate with colleagues and external consultants; adapt designs as needed.
