Job summary

Endeavor Health in Highland Park is seeking an Exercise Physiologist – Cardiac Rehab to develop and monitor individualized programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients, including ECG monitoring and vital signs.

You will lead group sessions, adjust plans based on progress, provide education on exercise and lifestyle changes, and maintain patient records. PRN schedule with early to late hours; no weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation experience highly preferred
• ECG (EKG) interpretation skills
• Exercise prescription and patient monitoring experience
• Current CPR Certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients
• Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including vital signs and ECG (EKG)
• Modify exercise plans based on patient response and progress
• Lead group exercise sessions, including warm-up and cool-down
• Provide patient education on exercise, risk factors, and lifestyle changes
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Support safe, effective progression toward independent, home-based exercise routines

Hourly Pay Range:

$26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Exercise Physiologist – Cardiac Rehab
• Location: Highland Park
• Hours: 6 am- 7 pm
• Schedule: As needed - PRN
• No weekends or holidays

What you will need:

• 1+ year of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation experience highly preferred ECG (EKG) interpretation skills
• Exercise prescription and patient monitoring experience
• Bachelor of Science degree in an exercise science or a related field (e.g. Kinesiology or Physical Education). Emphasis in exercise physiology preferred. MS preferred
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (within 6 months of hire)
