Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for Cardiac Rehab to develop and oversee individualized rehab programs across rotating Chicago-area locations. You will monitor vital signs and ECG during sessions, adjust plans as patients progress, and lead group exercise with emphasis on safety and education.

Qualified candidates hold a BS in exercise science or related field (MS preferred), 1+ year cardiac rehab experience, and current CPR; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation experience preferred.
• ECG interpretation skills required.
• Exercise prescription and patient monitoring experience.
• BS in exercise science or related field; MS preferred.
• Current CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients.
• Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including vital signs and ECG (EKG).
• Modify exercise plans based on patient response and progress.
• Lead group exercise sessions, including warm-up and cool-down.
• Provide patient education on exercise, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Support progression toward home-based exercise routines.
