OSF HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Exercise Physiologist to deliver medically prescribed exercise therapy to patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions, guided by ACSM and AACVPR guidelines. Expected pay for this position is $23.58 - $27.75/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides medically prescribed exercise therapy for patients demonstrating multiple system disease states determined through assessment of patient's clinical status and based on guidelines provided by ACSM and AACVPR. Interprets the patient's exercise program data and directs patient's activity/exercise by ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the patient's clinical status through assessment of heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure, blood sugar, peripheral capillary oxygen saturation, and/or rated perceived exertion. Recommends exercise/activity progression and maintains on-going communication with the cardiac rehab team members.
