Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is currently hiring a Flexi/PRN, Day Shift Exercise Physiologist for Cardiac, Pulmonary & Vascular Rehab. You will assist in coordinating and implementing education and exercise therapy programs for rehab patients, and participate in initial assessments and plan development.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology, BLS, ACLS within one year. New grads may apply with internship or clinical rotation.

• BLS (Certification)
• ACLS within one year of employment

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and implementing all phases of education and exercise therapy programs for cardiac/pulmonary rehab.
• Assist in collecting data for initial patient assessment and developing an exercise plan and lifestyle modification education plan.
• Monitor and treat patients during exercise and modify plans as needed and educate patients.

Overview

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is currently hiring a Flexi/PRN, Day Shift Exercise Physiologist for Cardiac, Pulmonary & Vascular Rehab.

Assists in coordinating and implementing all phases of education and exercise therapy programs for the rehabilitation of persons with cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. Assists in collection of data to complete the initial patient assessment, the development of an exercise plan and a plan for education about life-style modification for Phase I and II cardiac/pulmonary rehab patients. Monitors and treats patients during exercise, assisting with modification of the exercise plan and conducts patient education.

Education

• Bachelor’s Level Degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology (Required)

Certification/Licensure

• BLS
• ACLS within one year of employment

Experience

• New grads will be considered provided an internship or clinical rotation has been completed in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $26.10 - $39.38 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
