Job summary

Penn State Health – Exeter Medical Fitness seeks an Exercise Physiologist to work with the Cardiovascular Center, maintain patient flow, design exercise parameters and ensure safety during exercise/testing sessions.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in Exercise Physiology, CPR/BLS, and at least six months of clinical cardiovascular experience; preferred MS, ACSM Exercise Specialist, and RCEP or CCRP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology or related field required.
• CPR/BLS certification required for Health Care Providers.
• Minimum 6 months clinical cardiovascular experience or internship.
• Preferred MS degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
• ACSM Certification desired; RCEP or CCRP certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow within the Cardiovascular Center during exercise/testing sessions.
• Design exercise parameters and ensure overall safety for patients.

Responsible to the Coordinator of designated area of Cardiovascular Center for maintaining patient flow, design of exercise parameters and maintenance of overall safety of patient during exercise / testing sessions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology and/or other Allied Health related degree required
• CPR / BLS certificate for Health Care Providers required
• A minimum of 6 months of clinical cardiovascular experience or equivalent internship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology and/or other Allied Health related degree
• ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Exercise Specialist Certification desired
• RegisteredClinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) or AACVPR (American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (CCRP) Certified
