Job summary

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess and plan rehabilitative programs that improve daily living and independence for patients with disabilities. The role requires a PA-ACOTE degree and licensure, with BLS prior to orientation.

You will work within a supportive team at St. Joseph Medical Center to provide individualized therapy and participate in the hospital’s comprehensive care programs.

Qualifications

Assess, plan, and organize rehabilitative programs that help build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills, as well as general independence, to persons with disabilities or developmental delays. Use therapeutic techniques, adapt the individual's environment, teach skills, and modify specific tasks that present barriers to the individual.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited ACOTE program and completion of clinical rotations required.
  • Certified Occupational Therapist or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania required.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – required prior to the end of the orientation period
