Job summary

LVI Associates in the Dallas–Fort Worth area seeks a Vice President to lead our Urban Development team. This senior leadership role requires a Texas-licensed PE, a track record of winning work, developing client relationships, and delivering large-scale civil engineering projects through effective team leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas required.
• 15+ years of civil engineering experience with at least 8 years in project management and leadership.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
• Experience delivering complex civil engineering and land development projects.
• Strong leadership with mentoring and staff development experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee major urban development and civil engineering projects as Principal-in-Charge and Senior Project Manager.
• Drive business development efforts by identifying opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and securing new work.
• Develop proposals, negotiate scopes and fees, and support contract management, invoicing, and collections.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical oversight to engineering teams.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and quality control processes.
• Direct the preparation and review of engineering designs, construction plans, and technical reports.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
• Support strategic planning and market growth initiatives within the urban development sector.
• Lead client meetings, project kick-offs, and high-level design discussions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for clients.
