Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks a Vice President of Engineering for a fast-growing SaaS company serving construction, facilities, and asset management. This full-time, hands-on leadership role combines technical leadership with strategic direction, including mentoring engineers and guiding platform modernization.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software engineering and 3+ years in leadership, with experience building scalable SaaS platforms, APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Hands-on development experience with modern web applications.
• Experience designing and building scalable SaaS platforms.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience working across both frontend and backend development.
• Ability to lead technical projects while remaining actively involved in coding.
• Experience partnering with product and executive stakeholders.
• Experience leveraging AI tools and workflows within software development.
