Job summary

Humana in Dallas seeks the Vice President, Application Reliability & Operations Engineering, an executive leader responsible for reliable, secure technology systems and driving a new level of capability, including AI. This role reports to the CIO/COO and oversees daily health checks and enterprise change control.

You will lead SRE teams, balance deep technical work with business acumen, drive automation, improve service levels, and guide incident response during major events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 12+ years of technology leadership experience, including strategy and architecture.
• Lifecycle management, product management and metrics reporting experience.
• Proven ability to drive large-scale transformation with executive stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills with executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team that designs automated health checks across enterprise systems.
• Oversee the enterprise change control process with thousands of changes weekly.
• Advise CIO/COO and senior leaders on strategies to optimize platforms and services.
• Drive automation across the technology organization to deliver labor efficiencies.
• Lead incident response and communicate clearly during elevated risk or crisis.
