Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Vice President of Reliability to define and lead the organization-wide strategy for shared platform services, spanning developer experience, data & AI, security, and infrastructure. You will build an inclusive, high-performing team of reliability and SRE leaders, establish AI-enabled practices, and drive resilient, scalable solutions across product lifecycles.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; a Ph.D. is preferred.
15+ years of experience in software, infrastructure, platform, or reliability engineering, including 8+ years leading engineering organizations through senior leadership roles.
Experience operating at the VP level in engineering within a large technology company.
Proven success building and scaling high‑performing engineering teams delivering shared capabilities across large environments.
Experience applying AI and automation to software operations, incident response, and productivity.

Responsibilities

Define and lead the reliability vision, strategy, operating model, and execution roadmap for shared platform services.
Build and lead an inclusive organization of reliability, observability, performance, and resilience leaders and engineers.
Establish and scale modern SRE practices, including AI-enabled SRE, SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, RCAs, and embedded engagement models.
Lead the observability platform and strategy with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and tooling.
Own incident management and resilience operations, including major incident command and blameless postmortems.
Drive performance and scalability engineering for critical platform services.
Drive operational intelligence and automation, applying AI to improve reliability engineering and response.
Partner with platform, product, security, and engineering executives to embed reliability into architecture and delivery.
Champion accountability, engineering excellence, and customer-centric decision making.
