Zacks Investment Management in Chicago (Hybrid) seeks a Vice President of Accounting & Administration to own accounting, payroll, and financial operations while guiding a 10+ person team. This role partners with executives on strategic initiatives and oversees multiple funds and financial reporting.

Ideal candidates bring CPA credentials or public accounting experience, 5–8+ years in accounting, and a hands-on leadership style to drive process improvements as the firm grows toward CFO level

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA preferred; public accounting experience highly valued.
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience managing or mentoring an accounting team (5+ staff preferred).
• Strong understanding of general accounting, financial statements, reconciliations, and P&L reporting.
• Experience with Sage or similar accounting system is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee general ledger and monthly P&L preparation.
• Manage A/R, A/P, and payroll processing (Paychex).
• Lead a 10+ person accounting team and mentor staff.
• Oversee KPI reporting and financial analysis for trends and opportunities.
• Ensure accuracy of financial information using Sage and other systems.
• Prepare multi-unit P&Ls and board-focused reporting.
