Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Accounting Manager (Hybrid) in Chicago, IL to lead daily accounting and finance operations for a portfolio of clients within a centralized, shared-services model.

Qualifications

• CPA license or eligibility with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; graduate degree is a bonus.
• Experience with accounting for mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
• Proven analytical, organizational, project and time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily accounting and finance operations for several clients.
• Examine monthly financial reports, compare to prior month and budget, and investigate variances.
• Translate numbers into actionable guidance for business owners and executives.
• Identify weaknesses in client workflows andRecommend improvements.
• Learn our software ecosystem and seek tools and integrations to speed month-end close.
• Create standard approaches and reusable templates for future engagements.
• Lead discovery, setup, and onboarding of new clients from assessment to go-live.
• Own systems and routines that keep client service excellent.
• Contribute to growth by sourcing new leads and creating proposals for prospects.
• Utilize automation to streamline internal workflows and client processes.
