Job summary

Douglas Drilling & Blasting, Inc. seeks a strategic, results‑oriented Vice President / General Manager to lead operations across Virginia and surrounding markets. This executive will drive growth, safety excellence, and client satisfaction in drilling, blasting, rock excavation, and related services.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership in drilling/blasting, quarry operations, mining, heavy civil construction or related industries.
• Proven experience managing large, multi‑site operations with diverse crews.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements governing blasting and explosives.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall P&L performance for Douglas Drilling & Blasting operations.
• Develop and execute growth strategies across Virginia and surrounding regions.
• Oversee field operations to ensure safety, schedule, and budget targets are met.
• Lead project management, dispatch, equipment planning, and support functions.
• Drive continuous improvement in operations, reporting, and cost control.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
