Job summary

Douglas Drilling & Blasting seeks a strategic Vice President / General Manager to lead operations across Virginia and nearby markets. You will guide project execution, sales development, financial management, and fleet operations with a hands-on leadership style.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in drilling, blasting, quarry operations, heavy civil construction, mining, or related industries, and a proven record of growing revenue and profitability.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership in drilling, blasting, quarry operations, mining or related industries.
• Experience managing large-scale operations across multiple crews and regions.
• Strong technical understanding of drilling methods, blasting operations, and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall P&L and drive revenue, profitability, and cash flow for Douglas Drilling & Blasting.
• Develop growth strategies to expand market share in Virginia and surrounding regions.
• Oversee field operations to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
• Lead project management, dispatch, equipment planning, and field support functions.
• Drive safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management across the organization.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
