Job summary

Cecil College in North East, MD seeks a Vice President of Finance and Administration to steer financial services, procurement, facilities, safety, and administrative operations. The role reports to the President and serves on the Executive Leadership Team to advance financial sustainability and institutional effectiveness.

The position supervises senior staff and oversees contracts, bookstore operations, and external vendors. In-person presence is required; limited telework may be considered.

Qualifications

• CPA certification preferred; higher education experience is valued.
• Minimum of 10 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
• Experience with strategic and long-range planning and budgeting.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for financial operations, budgeting, accounting, payroll, investments.
• Lead long-range financial and administrative planning aligned with strategic priorities.
• Oversee procurement, contracts, vendor performance, and campus services.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and accreditation requirements.
