Job summary

CAHF seeks a dynamic Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer to advance the association's mission through strategic leadership and operational oversight. The EVP/COO is a key member of the executive team, reporting to the President/CEO, guiding strategy, governance, and member services while ensuring organizational excellence.

The role oversees core administrative and business functions and represents CAHF and QCHF with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business/public/nonprofit management or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive executive or senior leadership experience.
• Experience leading multiple operational functions including HR, finance, and administration.
• Strong strategic planning, leadership, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the President/CEO in developing and implementing organizational strategy and priorities.
• Lead execution of strategic initiatives and ensure organizational goals are achieved.
• Oversee HR, IT, facilities, compliance, risk management, and administrative services.
• Represent CAHF and QCHF with members, partners, industry organizations, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain organizational policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support budgeting in collaboration with the CFO and monitor resource alignment.
• Ensure governance with bylaws and board policies and support committees.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, nonprofit management, or related field
