Job summary

Direct Travel is seeking a VIP Corporate Travel Advisor, a key member of the Operations Team responsible for arranging comprehensive, accurate, and cost-effective travel for Direct Travel clients and executive travelers within company policies and preferred suppliers.

The role entails completing domestic and international arrangements for VIP clients, delivering high-touch concierge service, and staying informed on current events.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience providing domestic and international travel arrangements.
• 5+ years of VIP experience supporting executive travel.
• High proficiency using one or more GDS
• Experience creating domestic and international multi-segment, multi-destination itineraries.
• Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of airline ticketing rules and regulations.
• Proficient in producing lowest logical airfare within client’s policy.
• Understands international airfares and international ticketing.
• Proficient in Internet searches and online booking processes.
• Thorough working knowledge of exchanging, reissue of tickets.
• Must be able to read and follow client travel policies and guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills via email and phone.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Ability to meet and exceed required performance standards.
• Accurate and detail oriented.
• Work well under pressure and can deal with change and adversity.
• Works well independently as well within a group.

Responsibilities

• Completes domestic and international travel arrangements for VIP clients which may include air, hotel, ground transportation, and rail.
• Provides high touch concierge level service to designated VIP clients, which may include leisure and personal services, upgrades, reconfirmation of accommodations prior to travel.
• Uses available sources such as State Department websites, news agencies to stay informed of current international events.
• Handles multi-cultural VIP clientele.
• Advises clients of international travel requirements such as visas, passports, immunizations, etc.
• Utilizes IRD/DSD to what?
• Supports one or more accounts
• Interacts with VIP travelers, travel arrangers, travel managers and provides 1st level of support for customer service and technical issues
• Ensures compliance of a client’s travel policy while utilizing DT preferred vendors
• Adheres to DT standards in delivering customer service including phone and email etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedure
• Follows company standards regarding procedures, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendance
• Attends staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in travel industry and office procedures which may require you to work in the office if home based
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working environment
