This job reports directly to the Regional Property Manager with a matrixed relationship to the Property Line of Business Leader.
Responsibilities:
- Manage property accounts with total insured values of $750M and above for assigned regions.
- Oversee a renewal book valued between $30MM - $35MM, aligning with CI Property line of business strategies and key account management practices.
- Generate $3.5MM in complex property new business production and develop targeted processes to achieve a 25% conversion rate.
- Collaborate with regions, branches, and stakeholders to manage key accounts and identify new business opportunities for complex property.
- Build submission pipelines and target conversions in line with CI strategies by partnering with regions and branches.
- Develop agency relationships to manage key accounts effectively and generate new business.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment, engaging with Industry Practices, Line of Business, Claims, Risk Engineering, Operations, and across the CI field to meet outcomes and conduct key account stewardship meetings.
- Serve as a coach/mentor within regions for complex property expertise and market intelligence.
- Execute CI Property strategies and oversee portfolio management for assigned regions.
- Travel to local branch offices, conduct meetings with agents, brokers, and insured clients, with approximately 6-8 customer visits annually.
Qualifications:
- Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least 10 years of property underwriting experience with demonstrated expertise in handling complex accounts.
- Knowledge of CI Property products and appetite.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial underwriting and insurance industry practices.
- Proficiency in salary grade and universal competencies, including results achievement, customer development, collaboration, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
The pay range for this role is $165,200 to $280,800, depending on skills and other factors. The position may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive.
