Job summary

Success Academy Charter Schools seeks a senior leader to diagnose and solve the organization's hardest, most ambiguous operating problems, and to build the network's own muscle for this work. You will walk into rooms of busy leaders, drive root-cause analysis, and align executives on what to do next.

You’ll lead a team of Lean/PE and Project Management practitioners, own the PE strategy and pipeline, and communicate root causes and solutions in a way that moves leadership to action.

Qualifications

• Executive facilitation and influence: facilitate senior stakeholders through ambiguous, high-stakes problem-solving to a clear root cause and path forward.
• Comfort with ambiguity: shape and scope problems that aren’t pre-defined.
• 8+ years leading structured problem-solving, organizational transformation, or operational improvement in complex, mission-driven organizations.
• Coaching and talent development: build and develop high-performing cross-functional problem-solving teams.
• Experimentation mindset: help teams take and manage risk to facilitate learning.
• Change leadership: lead organization through significant change with momentum.
• Working fluency in structured problem-solving frameworks (Lean, DMAIC/PSP, Daily Management, Kaizen, Standard Work, Policy Deployment).
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Public Policy, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate to Root Cause: Lead diagnosis of workflow impediments and organizational friction, guiding senior stakeholders toward clear, actionable root causes.
• Influence Executive Leadership: Distill complex problems into a clear narrative and drive conviction at the executive level.
• Drive Change Through Structured Problem-Solving: Lead Kaizen-style events and process improvement efforts for cross-functional alignment.
• Own the PE Roadmap: Develop PE roadmap with senior leadership aligned to priorities and strategic goals.
• Build the Organization's PE Muscle: Promote PE tools and training programs, including Certified Practitioner status.
• Partner on Strategy Execution: Collaborate on Strategic Transformation and Daily Management initiatives.
• Develop Talent: Mentor and evaluate practitioners toward certification.
