California State University, Fullerton is seeking an Executive Technology Support Specialist II to join the IT Administration department. The role delivers professional technical support, diagnoses complex hardware and software issues, and guides staff.
The position supports executive leadership and high-visibility users across multiple university locations. The role is full-time, on-site, with work schedule Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and may require occasional evenings or weekends.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our IT Administration department as the Executive Technology Support Specialist II. Salary Range: $5,787 - $6,389 per month
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. This is a temporary position to end on or before June 30, 2027, with a possibility of renewal on an annual basis if funds and/or program needs exist.
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Under general supervision, provides professional technical support and expertise. Diagnoses and resolves complex hardware and software issues, manages less complex technology support projects, and provides guidance and training to users and technology support staff. Utilizes proficient and in-depth troubleshooting techniques. Works independently on most day-to-day assignments with general supervision on new assignments or projects to ensure alignment with objectives. Handles multiple work priorities and is accountable for own work results.
Experience providing advanced technical support to executive leadership, senior administrators, or other high-touch/high-visibility users. Experience supporting a broad range of endpoint technologies, including desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, collaboration platforms, video conferencing, and presentation technology. Experience diagnosing hardware, software, application, network connectivity, and audiovisual or conferencing issues in time-sensitive environments. Experience coordinating technology deployments, equipment refreshes, office relocations, meeting-room technology, or other small technology support projects. Experience creating technical documentation and providing one‑on‑one technology training or guidance to users with varying levels of technical expertise. Experience working in a higher education or similarly complex organizational environment. Demonstrated ability to provide responsive, professional, discreet, and customer‑focused technical support while managing multiple competing priorities.

This position provides technology support at multiple University locations, including executive offices and the official University President's residence (EDR), and requires the ability to travel between assigned support locations as operationally necessary. The position may occasionally require early morning, evening, or weekend support in connection with executive meetings, University events, technology deployments, or urgent technology issues, based on operational requirements and in accordance with applicable University practices. Continually works with technology equipment and may be required to move, install, connect, troubleshoot, and secure computers, displays, peripherals, audiovisual equipment, and related devices. Additionally, the position is expected to appropriately safeguard University technology resources, credentials, sensitive information, and data encountered in the performance of assigned duties.
