Job summary

PlayStation in California is seeking a Senior Director of Business Strategy & Planning to act as a strategic operating partner to the VP, Head of Operations. You will lead the Strategy & Planning team to deliver an integrated view of performance, health, and priorities across the Studio Business Group.

You will continuously improve the executive operating rhythm, KPI reporting, risk management and leadership decision forums, coordinating with Production, Finance, Technology, Development Strategy

Qualifications

• Experience directly advising C-suite or equivalent senior executives.
• Exceptional written, verbal and executive presentation skills.
• Extensive experience in business strategy, business operations, strategic planning, management consulting, corporate development, portfolio strategy or a related field.
• Demonstrated success leading complex work across a highly matrixed organization.
• Proven ability to synthesize large volumes of complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
• Experience designing or improving executive operating rhythms, planning processes or performance management systems.
• Experience in gaming, technology, entertainment, media or another product development environment is preferred.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge constructively and establish structure where limited structure currently exists.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and facilitation capabilities.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to understand connections among strategy, operations, financial performance, organizational design and execution.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a high-performing strategy, operations, consulting or planning team.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior executives and set direction for the Strategy & Planning function.
• Develop and coach team members for high performance.
• Lead complex cross-functional initiatives spanning studios and SIE organizations.
• Deliver high-impact executive insights and recommendations.
• Lead the creation of an integrated operating cadence and governance for the Studio Business Group.
• Coordinate planning forums, business reviews and risk discussions with leadership.
• Ensure executive materials clearly communicate performance, risks and actions.
• Balance strategic priorities with execution across multiple studios and functions.
• Move fluidly between strategic advising and hands-on analysis on sensitive work.
