Job summary

ORNL Federal Credit Union is seeking a Chief Strategy Officer & Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic advisor to the President & CEO and lead enterprise strategic planning. The role aligns the credit union's purpose and long-term vision with execution, ensuring priority initiatives move from concept to measurable results.

The CSO/COS will coordinate with the CEO, Board, and executive team, provide independent analysis, and elevate risks and opportunities requiring leadership attention.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in strategy, financial services, or enterprise transformation.
Experience advising senior executives and leading enterprise strategic planning.
Ability to evaluate significant opportunities and influence outcomes in complex environments.
Experience in regulated financial institutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise strategic planning and translate vision into measurable priorities.
Drive alignment among executive leadership, CEO, Board, and key initiatives.
Monitor execution of major strategic initiatives and manage risks and dependencies.
Prepare executive- and Board-level materials and elevate critical issues to the CEO.
