Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Strategic Planning Analyst for a global retail brand in Irving, TX. The role is onsite with potential to become hybrid after the initial ramp-up (2–3 months), so local candidates are required.

The analyst will support high-priority strategic initiatives, translate complex inputs into structured analyses, and prepare executive-ready materials for CEO/Board discussions. Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and data storytelling are essential.

Qualifications

3–5 years in corporate strategy, consulting, or strategic planning in retail/tech.
Proven ability to create board-ready materials and executive presentations.
Strong business acumen and context-driven insight generation.
Experience with market/consumer insights and competitive analysis.
Experience using LLM-based tools for research and insights.

Responsibilities

Develop executive-ready presentations for senior leadership and Board audiences.
Conduct macro trends, competitive dynamics, customer behaviors, and tech research.
Frame questions into structured analyses for enterprise initiatives.
Synthesize data into concise executive summaries for leadership.
Present analytical outputs to senior stakeholders daily.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather enterprise-wide intelligence.
Lead competitive intelligence and track market shifts and disruptors.
Support earnings, Board meetings, and Monthly Business Reviews materials.
