Job summary

At MGM Resorts International, Mandalay Bay, we seek an Assistant Executive Steward to lead department operations and deliver WOW guest experiences. You will oversee functions, maintain sanitation, and help ensure top-tier dining service that enhances every guest stay.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, hiring recommendations under the CBA, training, coaching, scheduling, and cost-conscious management of supplies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of stewarding experience.
• Experience supervising staff and ensuring service standards.
• Flexibility to work Morning, Swing, or Graveyard shifts.
• Experience with employees under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned operational functions within the department.
• Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service.
• Manage staff including hiring recommendations, training, coaching, performance feedback, scheduling.
• Provide ideas for new products, services, technology, and processes.
• Make routine inspections of equipment and kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitary procedures.
• Requisition new and replacement equipment as needed.
• Approve requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment and monitor costs.
• Maintain inventory and recordkeeping for dinnerware, flatware, and glassware; order china and glassware.
