Job summary

Mandarin Oriental New York is seeking an Executive Steward to lead the Stewarding Department and align operations with financial objectives. The role reports to the Executive Chef and drives budgeting, forecasting, and resource management across outlets and banquets.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in luxury hotel culinary operations and at least 2 years in management, with strong English communication and superior organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the luxury hotel culinary business.
• Minimum of two years management experience in a hotel or high-volume restaurant.
• Strong written and verbal English language skills.
• Excellent organization and supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide vision to the stewarding operation.
• Develop yearly budget and monthly stewarding forecast.
• Monitor payroll and control expenses.
• Coaching and training of stewards and team.
• Maintain hygiene and control program for kitchen and surrounding areas.
