Mandarin Oriental New York is seeking an Executive Steward to lead the Stewarding Department in a luxury hotel setting. You will manage daily operations, budgets, training, and the hygiene program across kitchens and banquet areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A two-year degree or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Up-to-date sanitation classes or certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the stewarding operation with strong vision and financial accountability.
• Attend B.E.O. meetings and department head meetings regularly.
• Set goals, budgets, and monthly forecasts for stewarding.
• supervise staff, review HR documents, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Inventory china, glassware, silver, and hollowware; ensure par levels.
• Maintain hygiene programs and kitchen/banquet cleanliness standards.
• Coordinate with banquet operations and ensure equipment availability.
• Monitor payroll and control expenses related to supplies and uniforms.
• Protect safety, sanitation and quality across stewarding operations.
