Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Executive Steward for the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA. You will lead the Stewarding Department, oversee dish room, storage, and non-food item distribution, and partner with the Culinary Leadership Team to ensure exceptional service.

This role focuses on operational excellence, team leadership, and maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards in a dynamic, large-scale venue environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Two years of management experience.
• Two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Stewarding Department and guide the team.
• Maintain top-tier cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
• Oversee inventory, storage, and distribution of non-food items.
• Ensure Stewarding and Kitchen equipment is well maintained.
• Support Culinary Leadership and guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate across departments to meet service goals.
• Work in a fast-paced environment; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
