Job summary

Sodexo at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA is seeking an Executive Steward to lead the Stewarding Department and drive operational excellence. You will oversee dish room, storage, and non-food inventories while upholding exceptional cleanliness and safety standards in a dynamic venue.

As a pivotal member of the Culinary Leadership Team, you’ll guide a diverse crew, optimize workflow, and partner with culinary leadership to support superior guest satisfaction and food service

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years management experience.
• 2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Stewarding Department and ensure smooth, efficient kitchen support operations.
• Maintain top tier standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Oversee inventory, storage, and distribution of all non-food service items.
• Ensure all Stewarding and Kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
• Support Culinary Leadership and contribute to outstanding guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate across departments to meet operational needs and service goals.
• Work safely in a fast-paced environment that may involve lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain schedule flexibility, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
