Job summary

Baccarat Hotel New York is seeking a passionate Executive Sous Chef to lead our culinary team in Midtown Manhattan. You will manage kitchen operations, oversee prep and plating, and drive menu development while upholding the hotel’s high standards of quality and presentation.

In a luxury, union environment, you’ll mentor staff, ensure health and safety compliance, and contribute to a premier dining experience for guests. NYC Local 6 and food protection certification are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a high-end or luxury dining establishment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• NYC food protection certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
