Laurel Oak Country Club in Sarasota, Florida, is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. Reporting to the Executive Chef, this role oversees daily kitchen operations and drives excellence in food quality, service, and hospitality for our members.

We value hands-on leadership, recipe development, team mentorship, and cost-conscious, high-volume cooking in a private club setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive culinary experience in high-volume club or resort environments.
• Previous supervisory or kitchen leadership experience required.
• Culinary degree or formal culinary training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations and mentor the culinary team.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and hospitality.
• Coordinate with Executive Chef during shifts and coverage.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
