Job summary

The Cypress of Raleigh Club, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to lead the kitchen, ensure proper preparation of the planned menus, and supervise staff to uphold our high standards.

This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, Holiday pay, DailyPay, PTO and a matched 401(k) plan. Three years of chef experience are required; an Associate degree is preferred; a valid driver’s license is needed; and

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Perform basic arithmetic and understand measurements and conversions.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a chef in a hotel, restaurant, or club; fine dining experience preferred; dining room experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee proper preparation of the planned menu.
• Supervise the kitchen employees.
• In the absence of the Executive Chef, assume responsibility for the entire operation.
