Job summary

Indiana Convention Center is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to provide hands-on guidance and culinary leadership in a bustling, high-volume setting in Indianapolis, IN. You will support the Executive Chef, oversee menu planning, and manage staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for large-scale events.

You will mentor the culinary team, ensure food safety and sanitation, and collaborate with internal partners and clients to execute seamless catering from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1 year related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee menu planning and program execution.
• Direct staff development and training in a high-volume kitchen.
• Collaborate with internal partners and external clients during catering.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Lead kitchen operations and ensure quality for large events.
• Coordinate with event managers to align food service with timelines.
• Assist with budget oversight and cost control.
