Job summary

Paradies Lagardère is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in overseeing the back-of-house operations for a high-volume restaurant. You will supervise and coach staff, train sous chefs, manage ordering and documentation, and partner with the Exec Chef to achieve financial goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as sous chef in a full service facility
• Must maintain a valid Food Safety Manager Certification (training provided)
• Must maintain Sexual Harassment Training Certification (training provided)
• Basic math skills and ability to read/execute recipes
• Ability to work in a fast paced and stressful environment
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities

Responsibilities

• Working the line: prepare and plate all menu items
• Supervise and coach staff, develop sous chefs
• Assist with inventory, ordering and stocking of supplies
• Conduct regular food safety and sanitation inspections
• Expedite food from the front line to ensure quality
• Train new employees and coach current staff including sous chefs
• Coordinate repair and maintenance as needed
• Maintain manager logs and invoice coding
