Summary

Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, manage kitchen staff, ensure food quality and consistency, and uphold health and safety standards. This role is vital in maintaining a high standard of food preparation and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
• Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with recipes, presentation standards, and customer specifications
• Monitor inventory levels and order food, equipment, and supplies as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and ensure proper kitchen protocols are followed
• Collaborate on new menu items and seasonal specials
• Handle kitchen staff scheduling and assist in performance evaluations
• Step in to fulfill the Executive Chef's duties when necessary

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
