Job summary

COREcruitment is seeking an Executive Sous Chef for a new opening in Menlo Park, CA. You will lead day-to-day kitchen operations, mentor cooks, and work closely with an experienced Chef to build a high-quality Italian/Mediterranean dining program.

You’ll oversee food quality, safety, cost, and inventory in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Previous opening experience is a plus, and a hands-on leadership style is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Exec Sous Chef or similar culinary leadership role.
• Full-service restaurant experience, ideally Italian or Mediterranean.
• Comfortable working in a chef-driven, high-quality environment.
• Strong understanding of food cost, inventory and kitchen operations.
• Hands-on approach with a passion for quality and consistency.
• New opening experience is a plus, but not required.

We’re partnered with an exciting chef-driven full-service restaurant concept and are looking for an experienced Exec Sous Chef to join the opening team.

This is a great opportunity for a strong culinary leader who wants to be part of building a kitchen from the ground up and working closely with an experienced Chef.
